Weitmar-Mark is part of the Bochum-Südwest district of Bochum, and offers an excellent quality of life. It is centred around the junction of Markstraße, Karl-Friedrich-Straße, Heinrich-König-Straße and Kemnader Straße. It is also where you will find the popular Weitmarer Holz woods. The neighbouring city district of Weitmar is home to the Schlosspark castle grounds. Zeche-Bochum, a concert and events venue in an old industrial complex, is located on Prinz-Regent-Straße.
