This apartment leaves nothing to be desired! This large, bright apartment offers you a comfortable and generously proportioned sofa with smart TV, a dining table to seat six people and a fitted kitchen including dishwasher, ceramic hobs, oven and a steamer. From the living area you access the rear-facing balcony with its magnificent view of the garden and the adjoining Hanielpark. The bedroom is fitted with a high quality divan bed and a spacious wardrobe. The third room can be used as a home office and/or guest room. The modern bathroom offers a bath and floor-level shower with Raindance shower head. There is also a separate guest WC. A coin-operated washing machine and coin-operated dryer are located in the cellar. You also have use of the swimming pool, sauna and fitness room that are located in the building. The monthly rent of € 2236 for up to two people includes € 250 for the heating costs, running costs and the use of the internet access. If rented one additional person, the rent increases by € 100 per month. Electricity has to pe paid separate by the tenant. If required, an underground parking space can be rented for € 90 per month.

Why is Brehmstraße in Düsseldorf’s Düsseltal district, which of course all Düsseldorfers know better as the zoo quarter, actually called Brehmstraße? Here’s why: In the 19th century, the well-known zoologist Alfred Brehm (author of ‘Brehms Tierleben’ – ‘Brehm’s Animal Life’) was often a guest of ‘Fauna’, the Düsseldorf Animal Protection Society, and it was he who encouraged the construction of a zoo here. But that’s all history: In the second world war, the entire site sank into dust and ashes. Its memory however lives on in the popular name Zooviertel (zoo quarter). However, the name of the street primarily reminds locals of the ice stadium in which the Düsseldorfer EG ice hockey team racked up countless successes before moving to their new home the ISS DOME. The Zoopark, which occupies the site of the former zoo today, features a pond, grassed areas and play areas, representing a sort of green lung in this district. Düsseltal is in general a district with lots of greenery. Thanks to its parks and beautiful boulevards, which house old apartment buildings and impressive villas, Düsseltal counts among the city’s most sought-after residential addresses.
