Walle Utbremen, Osterfeuerberg, Hohweg, Westend und die Übersee-Stadt, all diese Ortsteile bilden den Stadtteil Walle. Kleine Straßen mit Reihenhäusern, moderne Wohnblöcke und Gewerbeflächen überschneiden sich im Hafengebiet am Rande der Innenstadt. Ein markanter Blickfang ist der Fernmeldeturm mit einer Höhe von 235,7 Metern. Walle hat sich immer mehr vom typischen Arbeiterstadtteil zum lebendigen Szenenstadtteil entwickelt. In der Übersee-Stadt, wo früher Getreidesäcke verladen wurden, kann man heute in hippen Bars und schicken Restaurants den Blick auf die Weser genießen. Entlang der Waller Heerstraße hat der Stadtteil einiges zu bieten: Das 1999 eröffnete Walle-Center mit vielen Fachgeschäften und Arztpraxen, das Waller Seebad und eine Eislaufhalle. Kulturell sind das Blaumeier-Atelier sowie das Waldau Theater hier zu Hause. Durch den gesamten Stadtteil fährt man sehr gut mit der Straßenbahn (Linie 2, 3, 10) oder dem Bus (Linie 26 & 28). Die B75 und A27 sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Utbremen, Osterfeuerberg, Hohweg, Westend and the Übersee-Stadt (Harbour district) all belong to the district of Walle. Small streets with wall to wall terraced houses, modern apartment buildings with river views, refurbished warehouses and commercial premises are distinctive in this district that extends along the Weser River on the edge of the CBD. An eye catching landmark in Walle is the telecommunications tower with a hight of 235.70 metres. Walle has developed in recent times from a traditional working class district to a lively, trendy city suburb. The harbour district, known as the Überseestadt was formally an industrial grain port and is now a fashionable riverside location for dining and going out with hip bars and chic restaurants. Along the Waller Heerstraße, the main street extending through Walle, a great range of local services including supermarkets, clothing stores, chemists, health clinics, cafes and eateries are provided, as well as a swimming centre and Ice-skating rink. This area of the city is serviced regularly by Tram lines no.2, 3 & 10 and Bus lines no.26 &28 to and from the city centre. From the highway Walle can be reached via the B75 and A27.
