The stopping point for underground rail routes U71 and U83, as well as bus routes 730, 788, 789, 815 and 817 is only 400 metres away. Benrath-Süd local rail station, served by the S6, is only 750 metres away. This compact apartment on the third floor is easily reached in the lift. The living/sleeping room has been newly furnished and offers a cosy corner sofa (which can also be used to accommodate an overnight guest), smart TV, a sleeping area with an extremely comfortable bed (1.40m wide), a spacious wardrobe and a dining table to seat two. The generous balcony enables you to enjoy the fresh air. The separate fitted kitchen is equipped with a fridge, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and a selection of commonly used tableware and cooking utensils. The bathroom features a bath with shower fitting. A built-in wardrobe in the entrance hall houses a vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron.You also have shared use of a washing machine and dryer (both coin-operated) in the cellar.

The citizens of Benrath and ‘their’ palace – this is to some extent true. Residents of the former municipality of Groß-Benrath, which became part of Düsseldorf in 1929, are extremely proud of their garden palace, and rightly so. In 1755 prince-elector Carl Theodor awarded the construction contract to Nicolas de Pigage. The result is one of the finest rococo buildings. A foundation now ensures that the palace, the park and the museums the palace houses (European horticulture and natural history) are kept in tip-top condition. The orangery, today an arts and educational centre which is a favourite destination of not only locals, is a remnant of a water castle that previously stood on the site.
